How is Rhinoplasty Performed?
The procedure is performed under general anesthesia and takes approximately 2 to 3 hours. There are two main techniques: open rhinoplasty, where a small incision is made in the columella, and closed rhinoplasty, where all incisions are made inside the nose. Dr. Yily will determine which technique is most appropriate based on each patient’s specific needs.
Recovery After Rhinoplasty
Recovery from rhinoplasty requires patience and carefully following your surgeon’s instructions. During the first few days it is normal to experience swelling and bruising around the eyes and nose. Most patients can resume their daily activities after 10 to 14 days. Final results are fully appreciated between 6 and 12 months after surgery.
